The Gemeenschappelijke Regeling Nieuw Reijerwaard (GRNR) has been commissioned to develop a 96-hectare sustainable and future-proof business park for the AgroVersFood cluster in Barendrecht and Ridderkerk. As part of Dutch Fresh Port, this location offers a unique opportunity for entrepreneurs in agro, fresh produce and food logistics who wish to build at a site where accessibility, future resilience and cluster strength come together. The plot of approximately 6,200 m² is located on Laurierweg in Ridderkerk, directly adjacent to recent developments by Stedin and Van der Heiden Systems.
A Plot Ready for Development
Plot E2 is fully construction-ready. Interested parties may register for the plot and must comply with the spatial and planning framework set out in the Provincial Integration Plan. The plot is equipped with a standard eight-metre-wide access road, preparatory utility connections and sewer laterals. A temporary construction power connection (3x80A) has already been applied for. The retaining wall at the front and the earth embankment at the rear ensure a neat transition to the public space.
Nieuw Reijerwaard has been designed as a business park where high-quality enterprises reinforce one another. The cooperation between the municipalities of Barendrecht, Ridderkerk and Rotterdam has resulted in an excellently accessible area, directly connected to the A15 and A16 motorways and just minutes from the Ridderster interchange. This location guarantees smooth inbound and outbound logistics towards the Port of Rotterdam, the hinterland and beyond. For entrepreneurs who depend on speed and continuity in the supply chain, this is simply a smart place to establish their business.
In terms of sustainability, Nieuw Reijerwaard aligns with the ambitions of the region. The municipality of Ridderkerk is a signatory to the climate-adaptive construction covenant.
Representative and Future-Proof Development
Nieuw Reijerwaard is subject to clear architectural and visual quality guidelines that ensure a representative appearance of the area. For Plot E2, this means that new buildings must be carefully integrated into the overall environment and contribute to the image of the cluster. The area features a modern, functional and high-quality layout that suits its users: companies that work daily in fresh produce, food, logistics and innovation.
GRNR focuses on companies that are genuinely part of the agrologistics chain or that demonstrably provide services that directly contribute to this sector.
Selection Procedure
GRNR applies a transparent, public selection procedure in which both price and quality are taken into account. For Plot E2, a minimum bid of €2,399,000 excluding VAT applies. Bids below this amount will not be considered.
